Student Eyecare Program

Student Eyecare is a mobile optometry service that provides eye care services to schools. This term Student Eyecare met with 74 students to assess their vision.


Tritactics Choices Program

15 Year 10 and Year 11 VM students participated in Tritactics Choices program. This program looks at mental self-defence and awareness for today’s school lifestyle. They discussed participants’ options, choices and consequences and explain how their consequences create the culture that shapes their day-to-day life. Participants left with a vastly deeper understanding of how to control difficult situations, how their attitude impacts on their successes giving them a feeling of empowerment to change their lives for the better.


Blue Light Blue EDGE Program

Blue EDGE (Educate, Develop, Grow, Empower) is a popular fitness based, experiential learning program run by Blue Light Victoria (BLV), in partnership with police. The program combines physical training, team building, personal growth and development, and positive connections to community.Workshop topics address current issues that affect young people, build skills, and creates opportunities for interesting conversations and fun interactive experiences. Topics include communication, values and strengths, assumptions and stereotypes, mental health and wellbeing, healthy decision making, and safety within the community. These are delivered through small and large group creative activities and discussions.

 

 

 

Some students had the opportunity to participate in the Blue EDGE Team Day at Lake Dewar. Students participated in the dual flying fox, canoeing, and archery!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


YHOP Drop In

Youth Workers from YHOP facilitate fortnightly drop in session to promote mental health awareness and help-seeking. They bring fun activities like Giant Jenga, Mindful Colouring, and Uno, as well as run workshops like Resume Writing and Job Readiness.

 

 


Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights Drop In

Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights facilitate weekly drop in sessions to promote community and provide a safe space to share issues and experiences as young Muslim women.
