The College Instrumental Music program, provides students with the opportunity to learn an instrument and to perform in a range of College events both on and off campus.

Students involved in the program form special friendships with their peers and develop presentation skills as well as overall confidence. Our Instrumental Music teachers are highly qualified and very successful musicians across a range of genres.

Lessons are offered on a variety of instruments, both orchestral and contemporary including:

  • Flute
  • Clarinet
  • Saxophone
  • Trumpet

Students can hire an instrument for lessons if required. The timetable for Instrumental Music operates during school hours on a weekly rotational basis to ensure students maximise their learning in their compulsory subjects as well as instrumental music.

Students have the opportunity to participate in various ensembles including the College Choir, Rockwire, Guitarkestra and College Orchestra. They are provided with the opportunity to perform at College events such as school assemblies, Gala, End of Year Music Concert, Awards Evening as well as various local community events.
