Middle School Term 3 Highlights
Term 3 has been an exciting and rewarding time for our Middle School students, filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and celebrate their achievements.
Our Year 7s embraced the Road to Respect program, building important skills in empathy, resilience, and positive relationships. Year 7 and 8 students represented our school with pride and teamwork in Interschool Soccer.
Our Year 9s engaged in a dynamic EBC Day, participated enthusiastically in the Blue Light Blue Edge Program, and completed their Morrisby Interviews, an important step in exploring future career pathways. Families joined us for the Year 9 Parent Information Night and Course Counselling for 2026, supporting students as they plan their next steps.
A major highlight was our school production, Haunting the Halls, where students showcased their incredible talent, creativity, and teamwork. During the term, we came together in Celebration Assemblies to acknowledge student effort, success, and the many ways our young people contribute to our school community.
We are so proud of our students’ achievements this term and look forward to continuing to support their learning journey in Term 4.
Year 9 City Experience
The City Experience was one of the most exciting and memorable parts of the school year so far. Over four days, we had the chance to explore Melbourne, learn more about the city’s history and culture and develop important life skills like independence, time management and teamwork. We all made some great memories along the way!
On day one, my group kicked off the week with the Food Trail, exploring different parts of the city while answering questions about Melbourne’s diverse food scene. After that, we visited our base at Scots Church where we were lucky to receive a talk from a police officer about staying safe and what to do in dangerous situations. We wrapped up the day at Federation Square, completing more questions and taking in the city atmosphere.
On day two, we started the day at Eureka Tower, enjoying the amazing views over Melbourne. Some students, like me, chose to take a step further by doing The Edge Experience, where a glass cube extends out of the building and turns completely clear. It was terrifying but so much fun! Later my group visited the Police Museum, answered questions and even did our own investigation with a realistic body…
Day three was all about exploration and creativity. My group completed two different trails, the Arcade shops trail and the Fashion trail. We dived into Melbourne’s unique laneways and boutiques stores while continuing to complete questions about
what we saw and learned. A highlight for many for my group was lunch at a noodle place with friends, which added a fun and social break to the day.
Our final day started at Queen Victoria Market, where we discovered the variety and culture behind one of Melbourne’s most iconic locations. After the market, my group hopped onto a tram and went to the State Library Of Victoria to complete our trail.
Throughout the week, especially on the second, third and fourth days, travelling to the city on our own was a major highlight. It helped us build confidence, independence and real world skills whilst having a great time with our friends.

Year 9 EBC Day
On 5 August, students took part in our third Year 9 Engagement, Belonging and Connection (EBC) Day, engaging in a range of activities. These included volunteering at Pascoe Vale North Primary School, Dorothy Impey and Plumpton Villa aged care, as well as excursions to the STEM Centre of Excellence, Pentridge Prison and Merri-bek City Council. At Sacred Spaces, students visited the Abbotsford Convent and the Islamic Museum of Australia, where they deepened their understanding of history, culture and diversity, and reflected on the importance of community and connection.

Year 7 Road to Respect
On Monday 11 August, our Year 7 students participated in the Road to Respect program, a session designed to build awareness around respectful relationships. Through interactive activities and discussions, students explored themes of empathy, kindness, and positive communication, strengthening their understanding of how to create a safe and inclusive school community.
