Book Week – Book An Adventure
Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun of Book Week 2025! From Book Bingo to the scavenger hunt and all the other activities, it was fantastic to see so many students and staff getting involved. The energy around the school showed just how much a love of reading can bring people together.

A special highlight of the week was welcoming author Demet Divaroren back to PVGC. Fun fact: she’s one of our very own alumni! Demet spoke about her journey as a writer, the power of storytelling, and how her time at PVGC shaped her path. She was thrilled to see how much the school has grown and commented on how respectful and engaged our students were – well done, everyone! Her books are now available in the library, so if you’re looking for your next great read, make sure to check them out.
Of course, Book Week wouldn’t be complete without some fun and creativity. A huge thank-you to the staff who dressed up – your costumes were a highlight of the week and made the celebrations even more memorable.
We’d also like to congratulate Asma Mohamed Hazzan, winner of our signed book competition! Enjoy your prize and keep on reading.
Although Book Week has come to an end, the library is still buzzing with activity. New books, lunchtime programs, and upcoming events are waiting for you – so drop in, explore, and keep the adventure going!
