Junior School

The College recognises that a comprehensive range of subjects is essential in order to cater for a variety of students' abilities, interests and talents. The program at Year 7 and 8 is designed so that students experience a range of different subjects, some on a semester basis. The junior school program covers all eight of the Learning Areas. The College offers Arabic, French, Italian and Japanese.  Students elect which language they wish to study.  A Year 7 camp supports the transition of students into the College. The camp is held in Term 1 each year with students, form teachers and the Junior School Team participating in a 3 day camp.

At Year 7 and Year 8, EAL (English as an Additional Language) classes ensure that those students with a non-English speaking background are offered the appropriate support to develop their English language skills.  Targetted Numeracy support is also provided to Year 7 and 8 maths classes weekly.

The College provides a broad range of co-curricular activities available to all students. There are also specific programs aimed at our Junior School students which focus on resilience, empathy, self-awareness, assertiveness and community development.
